Swollen, polished ovoid body. The conical copper-alloy barb (L. 4.7 cm) has a polygonal-section base inlaid with polished garnets (dark red) on the three upper sides (one stone missing); the two sides are decorated with engraved esse motifs. The barb is linked to the buckle by a curved quadrangular stem. Found with two silver rivets with flat circular heads (H. 0.8 and 0.7 cm). This buckle is an exceptional piece. Its swollen ovoid body is fashioned from a dense, beige-colored mineral with a polished surface. The copper-alloy pin is decorated using the "cloisonné" technique with polished garnet inlays. Both sides have been decorated with an esse motif. The two associated silver rivets were used to secure the return of the belt leather. A buckle from a burial site in Flonheim (Germany) features a barb whose base is also decorated with a cloisonné pattern.
