Tête humaine masculine

Poitiers (86) - Musée Sainte-Croix

Musées de Poitiers, Christian Vignaud

This head can probably be identified with a heroic figure (cf. Alain Duval). It shows signs of tool use: chisels and shavings (according to sculptor Thierry Gregor). The limestone comes from the Chauvigny quarries (according to geologist Bernard Bourgueil).
